Sligo Woodland School

Sligo Woodland School was formed in 2016 by Trisha MacLaughlin. Trisha is a qualified Forest School Leader (Level 3 (UK) Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership) and a founding member of the Irish Forest School Association. Sligo Woodland School philosophy is to encourage children to use their own initiative, help them deal with risk, promote the progression of ‘sound’ emotional skills, while using the numerous learning opportunities within the natural environment.  The practice is modelled on the Forest School approach.
