Biodiversity walk

For Biodiversity week , Sligo Tidy Towns are putting on a Free Biodiversity walk followed by a fun Workshop.

This will be run twice: Thursday 23rd May 10.30-12.30am and repeated on Friday 24th May 3.30-5.30pm.

This will be an engaging and interactive event which we hope is suitable for all ages and abilities.

This event is free and open to all however places are limited and should be booked using the links below.

Come join us for a guided Biodiversity Walk around the small woodland at Sligo Woodland School and Sligo Childrens' Community Gardens. The walk will be led by Emmeline Cosnett, a senior botanist from Woodrow Sustainable Solutions. Emmeline will guide us around the woods at this beautiful time of year, pointing out important biodiversity features.

After the walk, Trisha McLaughlin from Sligo Woodland School, will lead a hands-on Art Workshop which will explore further some of the features pointed out on the walk.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to find out more about biodiversity in our local woodlands and to spend some time being creative with nature.

Just to note that the terrain is at times bumpy and with an incline and that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
